Ovaj website sadrži prepis moje neobjavljene disertacije o arhitekti Karlu Paržiku koju sam odbranila na Arhitektonskom fakultetu Sveučilišta u Zagrebu 1991.g.
Pošto su me kolege i studenti povremeno kontaktirali da im dostavim informacije iz disertacije u vezi Paržikovih objekata, odlučila sam da objavim prepis disertacije i kopije ilustracija na Internetu da bih olakšala korištenje ovog istraživačkog rada.
Prepis je identičan disertaciji osim nekoliko novih ilustracija čije je uključivanje prouzrokovalo manje izmjene u tekstu. Također, nastojala sam da uklonim neke štamparske greške u disertaciji, a unaprijed se izvinjavam ako sam napravila neke druge uprkos nastojanju da izbjegnem takve greške.
Korištenje informacija i ilustracija sa ovog website-a je dozvoljeno u obrazovne i druge nekomercijalne svrhe uz citiranje izvora podataka i ilustracija kako je uobičajeno u naučnim radovima.

Branka Dimitrijević je diplomirala na Arhitektonsko-urbanističkom fakultetu Univerziteta u Sarajevu, magistrirala Revitalizaciju graditeljskog nasljeđa i doktorirala iz oblasti istorije arhitekture na Arhitektonskom fakultetu Sveučilišta u Zagrebu. Branka je radila kao asistent na Katedri za istoriju arhitekture i revitalizaciju graditeljskog nasljeđa Arhitektonskog fakulteta Univerziteta u Sarajevu do 1992.g. Od 1994.g. Branka živi u Glasgowu gdje je prvo radila na Strathclyde Univerzitetu, a od 2005.g. na Glasgow Caledonian Univerzitetu. Branka je direktor projekta u kojem učestvuje sedam škotskih univerziteta i koji omogućava saradnju između njih i škotskog građevinskog sektora na razvoju inovacija za dizajn novih održivih građevina i održivu obnovu postojećih građevina (www.cicstart.org). Od 2005, Branka je gostujući profesor održivog urbanizma, arhitekture i graditeljstva na Politehničkom Univerzitetu u Bariju, Italija. Branka je član savjetodavnog odbora organizacije Arhitektura i Dizajn Škotske.

The website contains a transcript of my unpublished dissertation on the architect Karel Pařik for which I obtained a PhD title from the University of Zagreb in 1991.
As colleagues and students have previously contacted me to ask for information relating to the dissertation, I have decided to publish the transcript and copies of the illustrations on the Internet to facilitate the use of this research.
The transcript is true to the original dissertation appart from a few additional illustrations, the inclusion of which has caused minor amendments in the text. I have also corrected the typos in the dissertation and apologise if I have made any new ones despite efforts to avoid any such errors.
The use of information and illustrations from this website is permited for educational and other non-commercial purposes while quoting the source of information and illustrations as required in research publications.
Dr Branka Dimitrijević

Branka Dimitrijević graduated at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of Sarajevo, and obtained an MSc in Revitalisation of Built Heritage and a PhD in History of Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Zagreb. Branka worked as an assistant Lecturer at the Chair for History of Architecture and Revitalisation of Built Heritage at the University of Sarajevo until 1992. Since 1994, Branka lives in Glasgow where she worked at Strathclyde University Glasgow and since 2005 at Glasgow Caledonian University. Branka directs a joint project of seven Scottish universities that supports collaboration between academia and Scottish construction sector in developing innovations for sustainable design and refurbishment of buildings (www.cicstart.org). Since 2005, Branka is a Visiting Professor on sustainable urbanism, architecture and construction at the Polytechnic University of Bari, Italy. Branka is a Member of the Board of Architecture and Design Scotland.
